Inner Energy

Before you book

Safety and consent

A session goes deep, and it suits most people. Here is how you stay in charge, how touch works, and the few cases where we ask you to write to us first.

You are always in charge

  • You can open your eyes, sit up, step outside or leave at any point. You never need a reason.
  • Whatever comes up during the journey, tears, laughter, trembling or complete stillness, is welcome. There is no right way to do this.
  • A facilitator is always free to come to anyone who wants company or is having a hard time.
  • Nobody is left alone at the end of the music. We stay until everyone has landed.

Safe, soothing touch

Hands-on work is part of the energy work. It is gentle and still: a resting hand on the forehead, the breastbone, the palms or the soles of the feet, there to soothe and support you while the music does its work. You never have to do anything with it. If you would rather not be touched, tell the facilitator in the circle or lift a hand during the journey, and that is always honoured without question.

Who should not attend right now

Please do not book a session, or write to us before you do, if any of these apply:

  • You have a history of psychosis, schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.
  • You are in an acute crisis, or you have been through a serious trauma recently and have not yet had support for it.
  • You experience dissociative symptoms.
  • You are pregnant.
  • You have a heart condition or epilepsy.

The breathing in a session is slow and gentle. There is no fast or intense breathwork. If you are unsure whether a session is right for you, email a@inner.energy and we will talk it through.
